Jo-Kin Battles the It

JoKin blasts off to Battle the It, to save himself, his friends and Planet Earth

Karen Tyrrell, award winning author, launched her latest empowering kid’ s book, an hilarious outer space adventure called Jo-Kin Battles the It.

Karen is an experienced Brisbane teacher who wrote Jo-Kin Battles the It as she struggled with stress and anxiety triggered by severe bullying and harassment from a school student and their parents. Jo-Kin Battles the It became a fun-like refuge as Karen was simultaneously writing a gut-wrenching memoir.

Under the guise of an action packed sci-fi adventure, Jo-Kin Battles the It teaches kids the power of humour, resilience and team building skills and how to ignite our unknown brain potential.

Goof ball Josh Atkins aka Jo-Kin wins the Super Space Kid contest alongside nerdy Sam Jones aka Sam-Wich. Their first Super Space Kid mission is to save the galaxy from a deadly alien, called the It. When the It kidnaps Captain Astra, it’s a race against time. Can Josh save Astra, the galaxy and us all … before it’s too late?
